Thought of making this a trilogy

Thought of the plot of the third book and a way for the story to end. I might make this as a trilogy. Too early to confirm yet. I still have to prepare the second draft for book 2 but the ideas for book 3 are there. Scattered though. I thought of a love triangle story, actually typed it out already but it could be a standalone short story that shows you a glimpse into their utopia. Not sure how it might fit in right now, but it would probably take shape as the story flows on.

ebook

I decided to go with clickbank to sell the ebook version of my first sfx book. Sarah's journey into a strange new world.

It would be the same as the print version, but as it is electronic, it would be so much cheaper. It would take time to set it up.
I'm supposed to be polishing up my first draft of my second book, Lost in another Realm.

Instead, I came up with an interesting sequence where someone comes between Sarah and Jake, where you can see a glimpse of Jake's darker side. Not sure whether I should put that in book 2, book 3 or in a 4th book. Maybe in book 3 or 4 where the other characters are more developed.

Should I leave Sarah and Jake alone for book 2, let their relationship flourish first. Let the troubles begin in a later story. Or should I let their relationship show cracks in book 2, or 3.

I'll leave that subplot aside for the time being and see where it can fit in later. Or maybe it could be a standalone story.

My books will have a login id and password to a private website where those who buy the books can login and read related stories that don't fit into any book. A sort of private club with free online stories and stuff from sfx fantasy world.

A peek into book 2

I've done the final draft for the first four chapters of book 2. The title would probably be Lost In Another Realm. Focus is on Jake and Sarah, the development of their romance, Helen, Torin, Bob, and the two stealth warriors Caelan and Evan will play a much bigger role this time. I kind of like the interaction between Helen and Torin in this book. The relationships between all these characters will be fleshed out in this book.

The ordeals they go through would be a lot tougher than in the first one. You get to see more of their backgrounds. A glimpse of what they were like before they became warriors.

Back to polishing the rest of book 2.

rewrote book 1

I spent the past few days doing a complete rewrite of SFX Fantasy: Sarah's Journey Into A Strange New World

The story stays the same, but the presentation is very different. I visited a few writing forums to ask for advice. There were many tips and criticisms that really helped a lot. To those who posted their comments, I really thank you.

I added in more descriptions, more dialogue and stuff to show you what happened, to bring out the characters of the people in the story. Basically, I had Tolkein's books beside me when I did my rewrite. I love his style, though I use modern day English rather than the old world language in his books.

Here are the first 3 chapters of sfx book 1 you can read for free. They are in pdf format.

Here is just the first chapter you can read online in html format if you don't have adobe acrobat reader.

I'm working on the excerpts and updating my main site, before I move on to do the next draft of the second book. The two go hand in hand. As for the third book, well, the story gets larger with each book, with each story building on the previous one.

The second one would be easier as I've explained the world, the relationships and the background in the first one. The next book would be more fun as I can dive straight into the action.. and romance

Please feel free to comment about the story.

Thanks
