New story in progress - Devin and Ariana

This is my 3rd attempt at the tale. Meant to be about Jake and Torin, the focus has shifted to Devin (Jake's kid brother) and Ariana (the sole female elite warrior from Torin's village). This time, I wanted to write a paranormal romance and submit it to publishers, but now, the story, that started off as romance, seems more of a fantasy adventure, complete with a quest, fast paced action, full scale battles and now the lead character, Devin treads the fine line between werewolf and human.

I'll let the story flow and see what I end up at the end of it. If it doesn't fit into any genre (again) I might self publish it. Or just leave it in my personal collection if I don't have enough funds to publish it myself. It looks like it will be too long for the Amazon shorts.

Oh well. Write first worry later.

On the bright side, the third book of the sfxfantasy series The Dark Warriors, is in Amazon. The funny thing is they put my illustrator as the author of the book. I tried to correct that at Amazon, but it still shows her as the author.

Working on a story about the origin of the warriors

At least that was my intention. I wanted to do an origin story that was more in depth. Based on a few scenes from The Dark Warriors.

It was meant to be as a flash fiction piece for destizine. Then it grew into a short story. The original piece was meant to be about Jake and Torin, representing two groups of people. About Jake's sacrifice, his deal with Torin to facilitate the merger of both groups. From that point of view, the story wasn't as good as I wanted it to be. But whenever two background characters appeared, Devin and Ariana, the story came to life.

I started on the rewrite of this story. Now from POV of Devin and Ariana. Instead of an adventure, I'll have a romance. Not sure what I'd do with it when the story is complete, but it flows better, is more vibrant if I let the characters loose and let the story flow naturally. I've got an awful feeling it wouldn't fit into any mould again. There are strong elements of a paranormal romance, a fantasy adventure and I don't know what else. Depending on the length. I might publish this as an Amazon short or try independent publishers. Self publishing is a very expensive alternative, but if it can't fit into a traditional category or particular genre, I might have to self publish this as well.

Search inside Lost In Another Realm

At long last, I got my book Lost In Another Realm into Amazon's search inside function. Better let the reader see what's in the book. It is a romance and fantasy adventure book, with equal weightage on both. Not for someone who hates romance for sure. The book cover does summarize its contents but this preview would let the reader see what they're getting before they buy.
