Working on a prequel to Lost In Another Realm

I have a flash fiction piece due for Destizine but each time I try to write it, something completely different comes out.

Right now, I sorely need a story related to Lost In Another Realm.

While I was out, I came up with a brilliant final scene of the new story. When I sat down and typed it out, letting the characters, scenario and events take over, it ended up as the first scene instead. Instead of Bara'ads, I ended up with Spidr'acs.

I'm running out of time. Looks like I'll just let the muse loose and see what I end up with.
